It must be love!

Meet Katy, the 7 month old sweetheart Rickybear met at the library yesterday.  I feel comfortable putting her name on here because we will probably never see her again, lol.  They were the only two babies at story time yesterday and they seemed to have a good time together.  I am sad because there is only one more week of story time and then they discontinue it for awhile for some other programs.  We'll have to find another field trip for him to go on...

Just don't tell him that it's pink...

This pic was taken last week when Boogie went to story time at the library.  This time he was super distracted because there were a bunch of elementary-aged home-schooled kids that were running around and he was too busy staring at them to read his own books.  I am pretty disappointed that story time will be discontinued in a few weeks.  It'll come back, of course, but I know that mom (and Ricky??) really seem to enjoy the outings.  I also like that he is getting in the habit or reading books.  I know his Maw Maw reads to him as well.

Anyway, he really seemed to like the baby chair.  I am thinking about looking for one to get him now (like the sofa type, not necessarily a rocking chair), but the ones I have seen are super expensive and not in my budget.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

Storytime

Ok, I lied- I wanted to post my favorite pic of the day....

Little boy wasn't content with having just the two sweet librarians read to him, he wanted to join this mommy and her two little girls, too!

Hoping for a fun indoor weekend

I am looking forward to spending the weekend with my little man.  I had intended to have some grownup time and go to a parade, but since there is a 60% chance of rain throughout the day, my time would be better spent doing laundry and snuggling with my baby boy.  *sigh*  =)  I really need to do some spring cleaning and just get rid of some CRAP we have around the house.  And it seems like the house is never clean- last night I swiffered the kitchen floor twice and then mopped and I swear it looked just as bad as it did before.  So yep, I am probably staying home this weekend.

I have tons of pictures on my camera to upload on here over the weekend.  I don't have my cell phone with me today (tragic, I know!!) so I can't even post the pics of Rickybear's busy day yesterday.  While I was still on maternity leave, I brought my 5 week old baby to the library for the lapsit story time.  It was so cute.  The other babies there were like 6 months to a year old, but I swear my baby had fun too.  Oh, and in the 20 minutes that it lasted he went potty twice... loudly.  LOL.  After that, I went back to work and the library discontinued lapsit story time for the rest of the summer due to other programs.  Well, they started it back up after school started, but I could never bring him because I work during the day and can't bring my baby to the one library in town that does it on Thursdays at 10:30a.  Not everyone is a SAHM!  Why can't they do these on Saturdays too??  Some libraries also do evening and pajama story times, but the minimum age limit is 3.  *big pouty face*

My mom decided to take the baby to story time for me yesterday.  He ended up being the only baby there, so he got a lot of attention.  Hopefully I can post the pics tomorrow.  I just love the whole idea- the hand games, the songs, and the books- so great!  And in 2 years, I can take him myself.  He did meet two other babies while there who he was able to interact with (a 3 yr old girl and a 1 yr old boy).  They had to leave this week, but will come to story time next week.  He needs all the interaction he can get with other kids since he doesn't attend daycare.  After that, he and Nana went to the park to swing.  I miss doing these things with him for myself, but we have plenty of mommy-baby time, and I am always sent a lot of pictures so it's *almost* like I am there.

I love that little boy...
